How to turn on earthquake and crisis alerts on Android Phones

Hello everyone, Today I will show you how to turn on the “earthquake and emergency alerts” on Android phones. These alerts became popular after the last Marmara earthquake. They can warn us a few seconds before a big earthquake or another crisis. First, open the Settings app on your phone. Then go to the Safety and Emergency section. In this menu, find and turn on the Crisis Alerts and Earthquake Alerts. Before turning them on, your phone may ask you for some permissions. For example, it may ask you to sign in with your account. You must give full permission and sign in to continue. After you do this, try to turn the alerts on again. You can also open other options in this section. These can help you stay safer in an emergency. For extra safety, you can go to the Google Play Store and download other apps. These apps can give you more alerts or help you contact someone during a crisis. They are free and easy to use. Sadly, on iOS devices, you cannot do this without installing a third-party app. This means you need to download an extra app from the App Store. The built-in settings are not enough. Also, please remember: these alerts only work on Android devices with Android 12 or higher. If your phone has an older Android version, you may not see these options. A video about how to do this is shared on the page. You can watch it step by step. Stay safe and take care!
